Economic Report: U.S. productivity growth in second quarter lowered to 2.1%


U.S. productivity rose at a revised 2.1% annual pace in second quarter, a bit lower than originally reported.

Previously the government said productivity had increased at a 2.3% rate from April to June.

Output increased 8.1% in the second quarter, up from the initial 7.9% estimate. And hours worked advanced 6% vs the earlier 5.5% estimate.
